এক বন্ধুর বিয়েতে এসে হাওরের পানিতে ডুবে দুই বন্ধুর মৃত্যু

 মর্মান্তিক ঘটনা: করিমগঞ্জের করিমগঞ্জে বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানে ডুবে দুই বন্ধুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে।

করিমগঞ্জের হাওরে এক হৃদয় বিদারক ঘটনায় বন্ধুর বিয়েতে গিয়ে প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন দুই বন্ধু। আজ মঙ্গলবার দুপুরে উপজেলার গুণধারা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের দক্ষিণ বড় পুকুরের পাশে পাঁচ বন্ধুর দল গোসল করতে জড়ো হলে এ মর্মান্তিক ঘটনা ঘটে।

নিহতরা হলেন, ঢাকার নাখালকাপাড়া, তেজগাঁও এলাকার কামাল উদ্দিনের ছেলে শরফুদ্দিন রাফু (২৪) ও একই এলাকার লাল মিয়ার ছেলে লিমন ইসলাম (২৩)। শরফুদ্দিন ঢাকায় কলেজের ছাত্র, আর লিমন মুন্সীগঞ্জ পলিটেকনিকের কম্পিউটার সায়েন্সের ছাত্র।

পারিবারিক ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে, করিমগঞ্জ উপজেলার গুনধারা বাজার এলাকার সায়েম উদ্দিনের ছেলে তৌকির হোসেনের বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠান হয় গতকাল সোমবার। বিয়ের আগের দিন শরফুদ্দিন রাফু, লিমন ইসলাম, মো. রফিউল, জুনায়েদ আহমেদ, মো. রকিসহ পাঁচ বন্ধু ঢাকা থেকে তৌকির গ্রামে আসেন উৎসবে অংশ নিতে।

আজ বিবাহোত্তর আচার ছিল, "বউ ভাট" এবং সকালে তৌকির এবং তার পাঁচ বন্ধু নাস্তার পর ফুটবল খেলেছিল। পরে তারা ফুটবল নিয়ে গোসল করতে দক্ষিণের গুণধারা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের পাশের বড় পুকুরে যায়। গোসল করতে গিয়ে শরফুদ্দিন ও লিমন পানিতে ডুবে যায়। তৌকির তাদের বাঁচাতে গিয়েও ডুবে যায়। তবে অপর তিন বন্ধু ও স্থানীয়রা পানি থেকে তিনজনকে উদ্ধার করতে সক্ষম হয়।

তাদের দ্রুত কিশোরগঞ্জ সদর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। পরীক্ষা ও পরিদর্শন শেষে শহীদ সৈয়দ নজরুল ইসলাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের চিকিৎসক দল শরফুদ্দিন ও লিমনকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। অপরদিকে, আশঙ্কাজনক অবস্থায় তৌকিরকে চিকিৎসার জন্য কিশোরগঞ্জ ২৫০ শয্যা জেনারেল হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।

বিয়ে বাড়ির উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশ এখন শোকের ছায়ায় পরিণত হয়েছে। বেঁচে থাকা বন্ধুবান্ধব ও আত্মীয়-স্বজনরা তাদের প্রিয়জন হারানোর দুঃখে কান্নায় ভেঙ্গে পড়েছেন।

Tragic Incident: Two Friends Drown during Wedding Celebration in Karimganj's Korimganj

In a heart-wrenching incident at Haor, Karimganj, two friends lost their lives while attending a friend's wedding. Today, on Tuesday afternoon, a group of five friends gathered near the southern big pond of Gunadhara High School in the upazila to take a bath, when this unfortunate incident occurred.

The deceased individuals are Sharfuddin Rafu (24), son of Kamal Uddin from Nakhalkapara, Tejgaon, Dhaka, and Limon Islam (23), son of Lal Mia from the same area. Sharfuddin was a college student in Dhaka, while Limon was a computer science student at Munshiganj Polytechnic.

According to family and local sources, the marriage ceremony of Toukir Hossain, son of Saem Uddin from Gunadhara Bazar area of Karimganj upazila, took place yesterday, Monday. The day before the wedding, five friends, including Sharfuddin Rafu, Limon Islam, Mo. Rafiul, Junayed Ahmed, and Mo. Rocky, came from Dhaka to Toukir's village to participate in the celebration.

Today was the post-wedding ritual, "Bou Bhat," and in the morning, Toukir and his five friends played football after breakfast. Later, they went to the big pond near the Gunadhara High School in the south to take a bath, carrying the football with them. While bathing, Sharfuddin and Limon drowned in the water. Toukir, trying to save them, also ended up drowning. However, the other three friends and locals managed to rescue the three individuals in distress from the water.

They were quickly rushed to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital. After conducting examinations and inspections, the medical team at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital declared Sharfuddin and Limon dead. On the other hand, Toukir, in critical condition, has been admitted to Kishoreganj 250 Bed General Hospital for treatment.

The festive atmosphere of the wedding house has now turned into a shadow of mourning. The surviving friends and relatives are overcome with sorrow, shedding tears over the loss of their loved ones.
